    AmeriKan:
Sonny's grandfather on his mother's side was a U.S. National Winner two years ago.
He was also a red tabby.  The breeder says Sonny has great potential and that sort of
makes us nervous, as we do not have the time needed to run him for a National win.
I am just praying for his Grand Championship and a Regional win...we would
be happy with that and then probably retire him from the show circuit like we have
    the other three.

    Blessings,
    AmeriKan
Well my brother I believe we're all in agreement when I say that Sonny looks every part a CHAMPION/WINNER already  beautiful looking kitten

    Re: Mericat Kansas Sonset

Sandy.....I just don't know how you do it?!!   That is quite a trophy!!!!

Sonny is doing well.   He has grown in the week we have had him.   My biggest concern is
that he does not like his kennel carrier.  He cried the whole 23 minute ride to the Vet last
Wednesday.   Sooooo, we are working on kennel time at home to get him use to it.  I have
purchased a new one for airline travel, so when it arrives we will have to work on getting him
use to that one.  Part of it is the immaturity of a kitten and another month in age will make a
big difference.  The final option is to sedate him, especially when travelling in an airplane.
I have been on a flight with a screaming kitten/cat and that is not pleasant for anyone, including
the other passengers.  Always lots of preparation for showing.  We try to relax as much as we can
and just enjoy it....because it is fun!!

Thanks, Sandy, for Sonny's trophy!!   :-)

    Blessings,

I just had to show you this picture.  We were in the truck at the garden (not driving) and Zack thought he could see better if he was on my shoulders.  So now I have a Sheltie Stole!

Thank you, yes he is all that.  He is also a stinker!  His father's name is Staynor, which means Tazmanian Devil.  Zack doesn't have anything to do with the devil; but he is a stinker!  We named him Zack after Zacheous (sp?).  Jesus said, "I'm coming to your house today."  Zack reminds us that Jesus is in our house today.

It is the real aussiegirl...back and ready to go..LOL...Thank you AmeriKan..your comments are always full of encouragement and I notice that humour coming through.!!!.. Well it certainly was "Oh My lambs"...the network problems were becoming full on and just plain annoying. I travelled to Brisbane for business on Tuesday, during the hour and a bit train journey, I listened to Brother Hagin's teaching on "Knowing God as Father".That certainly sorted things out for me....Brother Hagin says "Ask your Heavenly Father,He has the answer".I really cried out to my wonderful Heavenly Father for an end to that on going situation. Well!...The very next day everything just fell into place and I am up and running again.PTL..Hum!!..Yes it was getting a bit lonely..not knowing what was happening in the family...it is good to be back...Sonny is just so cute,he seems to be fitting into the family very well.PTL..God is so faithful..a real treat... the desire of your heart  answered..PTL ..Thank you father ..that blesses my heart too...

Talking about a real treat..where is our dear friend Sandy???...She is greatly missed..!!!

    Abundant Blessings to you AmeriKan..

It appears I could be in for a big surprise..What was first prize??..A double MaMa Jenkins anointing...LOL...now that would be something else...Hum..

Re: For The Animal Lovers Among Us!

Hi everyone  just calling in quickly to say hello  have missed you all , hope to be back posting shortly and catching up with you guys.

Cindy before I go , just want to say it's lovely to see you also being a regular contributor to this thread my sister and Jake and Zack are gorgeous.

I  just had to post below pic of Billy to show you  He has taken to jumping up onto the roof of his hutch again  as below pic demonstrates (only the day before me and my hubby had said he doesn't seem to do that anymore ), but you know Billy! , never a dull moment  and this is the scene that greeted me the other morning as I glanced across to Billys run to see what he was up too!  , I should have guessed it would be something lol , and there he was watching me! to see what I was up to! lol,  he really made me giggle and I had to share it with you guys.

    Love Sandy x

Re: For The Animal Lovers Among Us!

    Sandy,

The picture of Billy is sooooo good....he sure has personality!!!

As for Sonny....he went from 4.8 pounds to 6.0 pounds in just thirteen days!!!
I knew he had gained some weight but I had no idea that it was that much.
The Vet said he is doing very well and she said he is going to be a big
cat because of the size of his paws.
When I get home from work it is play, play, play as Sonny has been.
cooped up all day and he wants to run and let loose that pent up energy.

Sonny is doing better in his kennel and I make a game of throwing dried
meat treats in it for him to fetch....then I quickly zip up the door and take
him for a stroll around the house. :-)    We will progress to rides in the
car for short periods.   We have to get him ready for his plane ride to
his first show in Denver the end of this month.

The other feline household are adjusting better to him but his
biggest problem is playing too rough and the older cats
do not like the rough play, so we have to monitor them closely,
when they are out together.   I think as Sonny grows and matures
he will be better about the rough housing.  :-)

So good to have you back Sandy with your "smiling face" in your
    many posts!!!

    Blessings,
    AmeriKan

    Easier said than done LOL

    Hi Aussiegirl  Hi AmeriKan

Trying to get some pictures of Beauty (Billys girlfriend) to post. Trying to get them as been proving to be a major feat!!!!  , as soon as she sees me open the backdoor before I can even get up the garden she usually rushes across her pen to greet me , which is lovely except when you're trying to take her photograph, shes gets so close to the fence It's been difficult to get a good shot.  I've also tried actually being in the pen with her (again you sense the drapes moving as the neighbours look out on this woman and her pets ) but then shes round my feet and all I can see when I look down the lens are big fluffy twitching nostrils (Beautys nostrils that is not the neighbours )as shes staring up at me trying to get my attention , but I will persevere dear friends

Now Billy that's a different story , he loves having his picture taken , infact I think he would be willing to hold the camera for me while I get it set up just as long as he knows I will capture his best side lol

Aussiegirl it's lovely to see you here my dear friend , you are in my thoughts so very often , sending a sisterly hug across the miles

AmeriKan what date is the Denver show?, will be thinking of you guys and Sonny on your big day.
